The Instituto de Cultura y Arte Latinoamericano, ICAL and the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center, Bergen Community College will host the V ICAL Fest at the lobby of the Learning Center, located at 355 Main Street in Hackensack, NJ during the month of September of 2013.

ICAL takes advantage of the proximity of Columbus Day to celebrate Latino culture heritage by presenting Palenke Soultribe, a alternative music band that combines Afro-Colombian rhythms and melodies with contemporary aesthetic, and it is nationally recognized for their energetic shows, interesting albums and its constant search for musical and visual innovation The concert will be on September 20 at 7:00 pm at the lobby of Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center, located at 355 Main Street in Hackensack, NJ $5 ADMISSION.

Along to the spectacular music concert, the closing ceremony of our Art Exhibition gathering professional and empiricist artists from the tri-state area will be held the same night (September 20 at 7:00 pm). The Artists César Canas, José Gregorio Gonzales, Andrea Kalmbach, Yder Leon Laya, Lucía Luna, Angélica Muñoz Castaño, Edmundo Rodríguez, Álvaro Chocoj, and José Eduardo Vasquez, will be showing the richness of Latin American artistic expressions from August 24 to September 28. ICAL invites all people from Hackensack and its surroundings to visit the lobby of the Ciarco Learning Center any time during September and enjoy the plurality around.

Moreover the V ICAL Fest will offer two Basket Weaving with Recycled Paper Workshop, for children and adults. Instructed by Andrea Kalmbach, Argentinean artist, the workshop will be offered on September 7 from 10am to 1pm in rooms 102/103 of the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center, $10.00 admission.
