Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform installation duties depending on scale and scope of the project
• This position reports to Foreman and Project Managers
• Collaborate with project teams and project managers to ensure efficient and timely project completion
• Effectively and professionally communicate with project managers, general contractors, site superintendents, subcontractors, and team members
• Ensures compliance with all company safety policies including good housekeeping practices, on site safety meetings, safety inspections, safety rule compliance and incident reporting and investigation
• Ensure all installation activities are in compliance with governmental regulations and OSHA guidelines as directed by the company policy
• Engage in continuous improvement activities
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Field Project Manager
• Pre-employment drug screen, interview process, and assessment testing
• One or two years of experience in millwork installation and/or construction.
• Previous finish carpentry experience
• Extensive travel
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in a team environment – collaborating with internal and external partners
• Ability to adjust to frequently changing project schedules and timelines
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor
• Knowledge of fixture assembly and construction
• Ability to lift 50-75lbs; reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, crouch
• Ability to operate company vehicles, tools and equipment in a safe and productive manner. Must have essential Installer tools kit including but not limited to whole saw set, drill and screw gun, laser, jigsaw, drill bit set, etc. The full list is available upon request
• Ability to read and understand construction documents (plans and specifications), spreadsheets and shop drawings
• Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision while also supervising on-site helpers; possess self-discipline
• Understand Client quality expectations
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in the woodworking industry, specifically retail and architectural millwork
• HS Diploma or GED; Trade or vocational school experience desirable
• Previous construction contracting experience
