Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate
Director Competitive Insight-New Products, are to:
+ Demonstrate fluent understanding of competitive landscape
and consult regularly with brand teams and selected headquarter
functions to understand and evaluate competitive
strategies;
+ Develop integrated research plans and appropriate
projects for gathering CI information on specific
topics;
+ Continuously track the competitive landscape for
strategically relevant products and projects;
+ Analyze and interpret available CI data in a strategic
relevant context;
+ Prepare tailored customer presentations and executive
summaries for specific business issues;
+ Set standards, hire and evaluate external CI agencies and
contractors with department head;
+ Representing Oncology Competitive Intelligence at all
required team meetings;
+ Interface for the segment specific market researchers to
identify information gaps and to exploit synergies;
+ Develop, implement and roll-out CI guidelines to team and
to external agencies;
+ Support multiple therapeutic areas within the Oncology
SBU and/or department initiatives identified by department
head.
Who you are

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ M.B.A. or other advanced degree in such field as
Economics, Business Administration, Life Science, Public Health or
equivalent experience;
+ Minimum of six (6) years of experience with at least four
(4) years in pharmaceutical industry or a competitive intelligence
agency (eight (8) years of industry experience required if no
advanced degree);
+ Experience in consulting;
+ Proven track record in leading and influencing
multicultural and interdisciplinary teams;
+ Regularly delivers concise executive summaries on
competitive strategies and influences senior management
decisions;
+ Demonstrates deep understanding of pharmaceutical
competitive landscape, analytical thinking and ability to
proactively manage and motivate teams in challenging
environments;
+ Demonstrates strategic thought leadership and \"out of the
box\" approaches to seamlessly integrating CI with business
plans;
+ Sets clear priorities and designs KPIs for measuring
success;
+ Acts as role model for Bayer LIFE values and resolves
conflicts effectively within teams;
+ Executive presence and influence skills;
+ Experience collaborating effectively with procurement
teams in the purchase and evaluation of preferred
vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Prior Oncology experience.
