Overview
Global, SaaS, cloud:based software client in Morris County, NJ is seeking a talented data/technology enthusiast with a strong analytical and consultative mindset, thorough understanding of databases and an advanced level experience (strong working knowledge) with Excel, Business Intelligence, Data Visualization (Tableau) and Salesforce.
The Sales Operations / Data Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of data, analytics, and reporting to provide valuable insight and data:based answers to critical questions involving: customer expectations, impact of forecast assumptions, brand positioning, competitive threats and product trends, using advanced analytics tools, unstructured data mining, data management and data analysis capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
:Identify and analyze sales and business data necessary to gain insight to optimize and improve and optimized sales performance
:Streamline information, utilize key performance metrics to provide actionable and new insights.
:Develop tools and reporting methods addressing sales projections and business requirements using Excel and Tableau to enable senior leadership to visualize the state of the business and draw actionable conclusions
:Create powerful data visualizations from rich data sets to address sales projections and business requirements
:Provide insight and analysis into key business drivers via dashboards and reports
:Develop automation for on:demand and self:service reporting of Salesforce data to empower teams to:
:Drive deeper insights
:Deliver insights critical for identifying new revenue opportunities
:Optimize marketing campaign effectiveness
:Improve planning and forecasting accuracy
:Set sales team deployment strategies
:Tackle day:to:day business challenges
:Document internal methods and operating procedures for disseminating reports
:Provide timely and accurate data in support of ad:hoc reporting
:Understand process flows and recommend data quality and process enhancements
:Understand sales process and leverage data analytics to identify areas in need of focus to the Regional Sales Vice Presidents
Abilities and Skills:
:Advanced experience with Excel, Tableau, and Salesforce to develop and execute a comprehensive, multi:touch integrated demand generation strategy that drives and accelerates pipeline and account acquisition
:Excel: Pivot tables, formulas, macros, VBA
:Tableau: Custom parameters, dashboard filters/actions, LOD functions, blending multiple data sources
:Strong database, business intelligence and data warehousing experience (Oracle, MS Access, others)
:Can apply advanced skills in data:mining, data blending, quantitative analysis and data visualization to tell the story behind numbers and derive actionable insights
:Can conceptualize and build dashboards that are simple, visually appealing, and logical
:Has shown proved success and a demonstrated ability to transform large quantities of unstructured data to actionable insights
:Offers a wide range of analytical tools, methods and processes to provide the opportunity for a more data:driven strategic approach to sales
:Can streamline data, create new reports and procedures to support organization:level requirements
:Demonstrates a drive to innovate
:Self:sufficient, fast:paced, detail:oriented and has a passion for scaling operations through automation
:Strong communication skills, works effectively with cross:functional teams, learns and applies best practices from other teams and strives for high quality deliverables
